Today, South Africa celebrates Women’s Day, a day to reflect on the courage, resilience, and determination of the women who came before us, and to honour the women who continue to inspire change today.
At Mo’s Crib, this Day is more than a date on the calendar. It is a reminder of why we exist and who we choose to uplift. Our story began with two sisters who believed that creativity, sustainability, and community could co-exist. That belief is now woven into every product we make, every partnership we form, and every artisan’s life we touch.
Our extraordinary team of whom 87% are women; are the hands that skilfully weave, the minds that innovate, and the hearts that pour passion into every piece we create. Each woman’s journey is unique, yet together, they embody strength, skill, and the spirit of collaboration.
We celebrate the single mothers who rise before the sun to care for their families and still arrive at work with unmatched dedication. We celebrate the women who dream boldly, take risks, and carve their own paths. We celebrate the young females learning a craft that will provide not just an income, but independence and dignity.
This Day is also a moment to acknowledge the broader impact women have on our communities. When women thrive, families flourish. When women lead, businesses grow. When women speak, societies listen. And when women support one another, incredible change happens.
As we celebrate today, we also look forward to a future where Women's voices are always heard, their contributions always valued, and their opportunities limitless.
